Homeland Supplier Corporation is seeking a Procurement Analyst to join our growing procurement team. The successful candidate will be required to execute functions and manage processes and relationships in support of procurement activities. This is a high-visibility position that requires interaction with company executives/program managers in a variety of settings. The individual will support the full lifecycle of Government acquisition, including sales, purchasing, key programs and initiatives, and will provide excellence in service to vendor representatives and customers.
Key functions include:
• Coordinating large procurement projects and ongoing programs, including negotiating with vendors and communicating with customers • Review federal contracts and subcontracts for accuracy and completeness, and purchase product in accordance with contract • Review proposals, negotiate prices, select or recommend suppliers, analyze price, follow up on orders placed, verify delivery, approve payment, and maintain procurement records • Providing sales support for Federal requirements, including responding in a timely and accurate manner to RFQs, RFPs, and RFIs, building rapport and trust with customers and vendors, and following up on resale opportunities • Tracking inventory, support coverage dates, and contract details for resale transactions • Maintain and develop databases, develop and provide reports, work to resolve errors or customer concerns, act as a resource to project teams, and track project and process timelines • Work closely with the Procurement Manager to ensure alignment of priorities, goals and related activities
• BA/BS degree in business or relevant subject • 2-4 years of experience in related field • Ability to work independently, with limited supervision • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Microsoft Office experience (Specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills – experience with logical and lookup formulas • Basic financial/accounting math skills • Customer service experience • Good interpersonal skills • Ability to compile, organize, and analyze data • Analytical/critical thinking skills • Task or Project Management experience • Previous experience in Government contracts or procurement • Familiarity with the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), other regulatory requirements, and terms & conditions associated with US Government procurements.
